Under the proposed agreement, imports from South Korea would be subject to a 15% tariff while U.S.-originating goods would be exempt from duties.

The plan includes levies on semi-finished copper products and their derivatives, a sales requirement for copper scrap, and some exceptions for auto parts.

The trade tool’s end will subject low-cost imports to all applicable duties, although postal packages will be assessed fees in a different manner.

The beverage maker is set to lay off 83 workers at the facility, which will stop production, maintenance and transport operations on Sept. 27.

The carrier is looking to entice employees with the offer as it slims down its network to reduce costs.
